Casulo is a video performance, in which a symbolic ritual is constructed. In this piece I created a set with garments and sculptural props, using fabrics, mirror shards and needles. The sequence aims to stage a textille-organ expulsion from the performing body.
A tin relationship between inside and outside unfolds within corporeal boundaries. As topics of compulsory motherhood, abortion and body shaming became key interests through the works development. Casulo was presented at Paco Imperial (Rio de Janeiro), The Coronet Theatre (London) and Das Weisse Haus (Vienna).
